There is one thing you don’t tend to be short of in the Pacific Northwest, rain. Moving to Central Texas definitely threw my existing gardening knowledge for a loop. Most of my favorite plants do not grow willingly in this hot and humid climate sans rain. The tulip, for example, is such a simple yet stunning flower I look forward to every Spring. Yes, I have seen them growing in Texas but not in the beautiful abundance known to the Pacific NW. That’s why, every time I’m out and about and happen to spot these beauties, I can’t resist stealing a bundle for my home.
