2025 Wedding Flower Trends
While I’m the first to tell our couples they don’t need to be “on trend” for their wedding flowers and every couple should do what they want on their day, there’s no denying a few popular wedding flower trends we are seeing across inquiries for 2025 weddings in Austin. Whether you like being “on trend” or prefer to forge your own path, knowing the local trends for Spring 2025 wedding flowers can help you decide where and how to focus your floral designs.
Here are the major flower trends we have seen moving into 2025 weddings:
Statement Wedding Aisle Installations: Aisles are in this season. Many couples are utilizing the majority of their budget for statement wedding aisles creating truly magical memories of their vows and then repurposing those pieces to other areas of their reception decor.
Guest Experience: Definitely my favorite trend as Ida Mayes is all about creating experiences through flowers. More couples are opting for less overall flower coverage while creating one or two really special flower moments that their guests will enjoy throughout the night, think welcome drink displays that wow your guests from the moment they enter the space to statement bar flower installations that will be enjoyed by your friends all night long.
Silver: This one caught me by surprise but silver accents are back! We are seeing many silver candelabra and vase accents popping up across our inquiries.
Caterpillar Tables: Round tables in long lines and varying diameters are making a statement in a variety of ways. We’ve really enjoyed everyone’s unique take on this modern interpretation of the classic round table reception.
Contemporary Flower Groupings: Flowers-en-masse has been elevated to another level with funky textures and mass groupings of like-flowers creating bold, impactful floral designs that are also more minimalistic in flower varieties creating a clean and structured floral design.
Reception Table Flower End Caps: With the increase in consecutive reception table design layouts, whether rectangle or caterpillar, there is also a trend for lighter tabletop floral and heavier end cap displays and other floral installations surrounding the table. This creates more room for family-style dinners with loads of inviting, warm candlelight and easy discussion across the table while still creating a fun and impactful focal flower design that guests can enjoy walking into the reception space.
Baskets/Wicker: This was a growing trend in 2024 but we are continuing to see these warm wicker accents used in a variety of flower displays into 2025. Whether a hanging installation or a coastal-inspired seating chart display, we love all the casual elegant warmth these items bring to wedding decor.
